Boretek was created to live our motto “What the mind can imagine, what the soul can believe, man can make it a reality” using our great passions – innovation, engineering and hard work in the field – to understand and serve to our customers by designing, manufacturing and delivering products and services that facilitate and increase the productivity of the rock drilling operation in industries as diverse as mineral exploration, pre-split drilling, blast drilling, drilling of water wells and the drilling of geothermal wells and oil&gas wells .

Founded in 2014 by Jaime Aros, the company’s CEO and Engineering Manager, Boretek and Jaime faced their first challenge posed by Jaime’s friend Gregory D. Hawley – through innovation and design, to create a DTH hammer that would solve the problems of reliability and productivity that existing DTH hammers on the market experience when applied to oil and gas wells drilling. This is how the “solid piston” technology was born, patented by Jaime Aros for the very first time in 2016 in the US. (US10,316,586) and nowadays also patented in countries such as Australia, India, Korea, China, South Africa, Chile, Peru, Canada and several European countries. Today Boretek has expanded its portfolio of patented technologies and innovative products to areas such as mining exploration, mining shock absorbers, energy dissipators and drilling accessories.
